In raspberry production, the yield and quality gap often comes from a combination of environmental and biological factors that develop faster than manual monitoring can catch.
Biological loss, most often Botrytis, which in raspberry production can move from early infection to visible fruit rot within days once the crop sees prolonged wetness or very high humidity. Sub-optimal control, for example humidity running too high and creating a sustained window that Botrytis needs, or temperature spiking during ripening and accelerating softening that reduces shelf life and retail acceptance. And forecast uncertainty, in a premium crop where fruit development moves quickly and picking windows are short, knowing harvest volumes in advance is what separates planned logistics from reactive ones.
